Canning Vale Toastmasters Club have topped the Western Division once again to achieve back to back wins of the “Victoria Quay Award” for Club of the Year in 2009/2010. The Club achieved all 10 goals in the DCP by February 2010, the most Educational & Leadership awards in the District with 19, being 6 CCs, 6 ACs & 7 leadership awards. We put on 15 new members over the year and we are a truly deserved winner. Here new President Phyll and all club members in attendance accept the award from Western Division Governor, David Nicholas and District Governor, Damian Chong.
The club also won, back to back, the Travel Gavel at the Creswick Convention which was presented to us on the night, as the original trophy has gone walkabout. Phyll proudly accepted the award for the club on behalf of President, Peter Jordan.
Robyn Richards was named the Area Governor of the year for Western Division with a Presidents Distinguished Area W16.
