Toastmasters International’s The Successful Club Series (Item 289) is a set of presentations that
address quality club meetings. In these presentations, you learn how you and your fellow members
can contribute to a successful club by using unique skills and following certain standards.
Most presentations in The Successful Club Series (Item 289) may be presented by any club
member and take between 10 to 15 minutes to present.
Each workshop consists of four parts:
- Definition and explanation of the presentation
 - Guidelines for your introduction to the audience
 - Outline for the development of your speech
 - PowerPoint presentation
 
Creating The Best Club Climate
“Creating The Best Club Climate” discusses the actions that every club must take in setting the stage for
meeting excellence. 
Meeting Roles and Responsibilities
“Meeting Roles and Responsibilities” provides an overview of club meeting roles and identifies
the ways that Toastmasters can influence and enhance the quality of club meetings.
Keeping The Commitment
“Keeping the Commitment” examines A Toastmaster’s Promise and how members can benefit from
upholding the principles of the promise.
Going Beyond Our Club
“Going Beyond Our Club” describes learning and leadership opportunities available to Toastmasters
in addition to regular club meetings and activities.
Finding New Members
“Finding New Members for Your Club” emphasizes the importance of building membership, suggests
methods for finding new members, and describes how to treat guests when they visit the club.
Closing The Sale
“Closing the Sale” focuses on those critical final moments of a club salesmanship that determine
whether a guest will decide to join.
How To Be A Distinguished Club
“How to Be a Distinguished Club” discusses the importance and benefits of becoming Distinguished
through club planning, goal setting, goal achievement, and recognition.
The Toastmasters Education Program
“The Toastmasters Educational Program” discusses the Toastmasters Pathways learning experience
and the achievements members may earn for participating in it.
Moments of Truth
“Moments of Truth” discusses the standards necessary to create positive impressions about club
service and provides a club evaluation exercise.
Evaluate To Motivate
“Evaluate to Motivate” explains the importance of speech evaluations and how to present them.
