When I first joined Canning Vale Toastmasters I didn’t see myself one day stepping into the role of president, but growth has a funny way of showing up when you least expect it, especially in an environment that fosters support, learning, and real transformation.
I’m honored to serve as president for the 2025–2026 Toastmasters year. My journey with communication hasn’t been easy. Growing up with dyslexia, I was told I couldn’t read or write properly. For a long time, I believed that. Simply stepping into spaces like this one, filled with people who challenge, encourage, and uplift, helped me shift that old chapter to a new one.
Today, my goals are clear:
• To speak more professionally
• To lead with authenticity
• to constantly grow, while helping others do the same!
This year, I want to focus on making our meetings more engaging, supportive, and empowering. Whether you’re a first-time guest or a seasoned speaker, I believe there’s always room to learn, refine, and rise. Together, we’ll continue building a culture of mentorship, meaningful feedback, and real connection; the kind that sticks beyond the meeting room.
Canning Vale Toastmasters is more than just a club. It’s a community of people who believe in better. Better communication, better leadership, and better versions of ourselves.
