Toastmaster of the Year 2011-2012

Fiona McLean CC, has been crowned the Canning Vale Toastmaster of the Year for 2011-2012. Fiona has had an incredible year with the club achieving her CC award in March 2012 and while serving as the club VP Membership lead the club to achieve all 3 membership competitions from Toastmasters International, being the Smedley Award, 5 new members in Aug/Sept, Talk Up Toastmasters Award, 5 new members in Feb/March & the Beat the Clock Award, 5 new members in May/June. These 3 awards have never been achieved by one club in the same year. The club ended up adding 22 new members for the year, which topped the whole District for new members achieved. This was due largely to the visitors pack that Fiona designed and implemented this year.

Fiona was a driving force behind the organisation of our 200th meeting in May this year. Congratulations to Fiona for this wonderful achievement.

  1. Congratulations to Fiona for the award. Reading the story it was obvious she has been an excellent member this year.

    And congratulations to webmaster Mark. I think the new website is excellent. I’m looking forward to the May 2012 Newsletter coming online. January, February, March, April – yes, they are available. I hope to look at May soon.
