What Toastmasters has done for me.

After getting a flyer in the mail box we decided to go along & see what Toastmasters was all about.  By the end of the presentation meeting we had both signed up to join.  Looking forward to improving our communication and leadership skills we went along to the Club Meeting every Tuesday night & got to make speeches, learn and improve our confidence. I have already completed my first CC manual as well as my CL and now working on 2 new advanced manuals.

In May we went to Hahndorf SA to attend the National Convention & got to meet the international President Jana Barnhill and her husband Bob from the USA.

That experience was wonderful and we got to meet fellow Toastmasters from all around the country.  We are now looking forward to travelling to Ballarat Victoria next year to attend the next Convention.

I look forward to attending our meetings every Tuesday night & it was with great pride that I accepted the Toastmaster of the Year for our Club. Being a new club that only started last year, it has been a great journey for both myself, and John.

I have enjoyed taking on extra roles along the way and stepping up whenever the need arises. I would like to thank all my fellow Club Members who took the time to vote for me and I look forward to serving the club for many years to come. My confidence has grown in so many ways & it’s easy to see why people come along to Toastmasters all around the world.
