On the first week of April 2026 Canning Vale Toastmasters became the first ever Smedley Distinguished Club in District 17 history. We had already lodged our 10 goals by December but had to wait for the April renewals to establish our membership above 25 members to qualify for Smedley Distinguished.

Congratulations to all our members who lodged a Level this year giving us our 6 educational goals needed. So far this year we have lodged 21 educational awards which includes seven level 1s, seven level 2s, three level 3s and three level 4,5 or DTM awards. So far this year we have added 19 new members to our growing club.
